The Ultimate Tiled Conservatory Roof System

Earlier this month, the Roof2Room team was once again busy, transforming an old, tired and underused conservatory with our fully insulated tiled conservatory roof replacement, this time quite local to us in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire.
As you can see from the images below, this conservatory had definitely seen better days so the customer contacted us to find out how we could transform their conservatory into a real room that they could enjoy all year round with our Insullite Tiled Conservatory Roof, manufactured locally in Haslingden, Rossendale.
We met with them to discuss the options we have available and they chose to completely remove their old polycarbonate conservatory roof and replace it with a brand new, fully insulated tiled conservatory roof manufactured and installed by Roof2Room. They chose Tapco Slate in Pewter Grey for their external finish, and internally, we offer a professional plaster skim finish as standard so rest assured there’s no awful plastic clad ceiling when Roof2Room are on the job!
Day one of the installation saw the complete removal and disposal of their old conservatory roof, as well as the installation and weather tightness of their new prefabricated solid conservatory roof structure… Yes, you read that correctly, in just one day it was out with the old and in with the new.
On day two, our skilled team got to work on tiling and insulating the new conservatory roof, and as with all of the tiled conservatory roofs we install, work was completed to Building Regulations using only the highest quality materials and a multi-layered insulation system that achieves an amazing low u-Value of 0.15. If you don’t know what a u-Value is, it’s simply a measurement of how much energy is lost, so the lower the number the lower the heating bill… A polycarbonate conservatory roof can have a much higher u-Value of 1.6, meaning a lot of wasted energy.
On days three and four, it was time for the finishing touches, internal finishing, and then finally, it was time to clean up and carry out a final quality check before leaving our customers to enjoy the benefits of their new tiled conservatory roof.
